It’s March Madness at Fairy Glow Mother but instead of making brackets and following college basketball, we’re saving money on chemical peels. You may be wondering what a chemical peel is. Well, it’s a cosmetic treatment in which a chemical solution is applied to the face, neck, hands, or back to create a controlled wound. This wound area exfoliates and eventually peels off revealing fresher, smoother skin. Chemical peels can be used to treat acne, scarring, texture, hyperpigmentation, wrinkles, elasticity issues in the skin and more.

It’s true that there is a chemical peel for just about everyone at Fairy Glow Mother (currently, there are 14 different peels used in the studio) but this post will breakdown the difference between the ones available during this sale.

Before you scroll and get to reading, you should probably know that you can’t just come in off the street and expect to get a chemical peel on the same day. It just doesn’t work like that. You MUST book a Chemical Peel Consultation in order to be eligible for a chemical peel. Okay, now keep reading for the fun stuff.

Chemical Peels for Acne

Acne Peel Series
For returning clients with acne, a peel series delivers the best possible results that can lead to a permanent reduction in breakouts. The peel series is best suited for those with active moderate to severe acne who have had a consistent skin care routine for at least 90 days. The acne peel series is designed to primarily address acne breakout lesions. Peels are administered every 2-3 weeks until completed. Depending on the type of acne present, some additional skin prep may be needed before we can start the peel. When you come in for your consultation, you’ll be advised to purchase any additional skin care products you may need to help garner the best results possible.

Skin Renewal Package
If you want a new face but aren’t quite ready for plastic surgery, this is for you. I’m joking (kinda). But seriously if you want to address texture, hypertrophic scarring, acne, fine lines, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation in one fell swoop then this is the peel for you. This peel series contains two peels that must be administered two months apart to get the desired results. Clients who have been coming to the studio for at least three months, have used either the Majestic series serums or Moonshine, and can adhere to the strict after care procedures are the best candidates for this peel. This peel package also includes two additional facial treatments.

Chemical Peels for Hyperpigmentation

Melafade Peel
If you have stubborn hyperpigmentation that has been there for a few months and, no matter what, just doesn’t seem to go away then this is the perfect peel for you. This peel is particularly effective on melasma as well. Melafade peel is an advanced depigmenting method to completely eliminate or significantly reduce hyperpigmentation. Your home care products are included with this chemical peel. Some skin prep is necessary with this peel so if you book your consultation for March, you may have to come in for one additional treatment before we can administer this peel.

Level 2 Peel
Available to members only. There are two options of chemical peels within this tier. When you come in for a consultation, we’ll assess which might be better for your particular type of hyperpigmentation. This chemical peel option can be done as a one-off or it can be apart of a custom peel series.
